Robert Green will retire from his position as Building Commissioner of the Rancho Santa Fe Association after 19 years of serving the community. While his last day will be September 2, Green has agreed to stay on for a time in an advisory role to ensure a seamless transition.

“The Board is very sorry to see Robert leave. His contributions have been great, and we wish him the best in his retirement. All of us in this community have been fortunate to have had Robert in this critical role working with the CDRC to ensure that the Covenant has maintained its character, desirability and beauty. We are grateful for his many years of dedication and hard work,” said Fred Wasserman, President of the RSF Association Board of Directors.

Green said, “I want to thank all the people who I have been able to work with over the years, including the many Art Jury/CDRC members, Board members, residents, architects and designers, builders, the realtor community, landscapers and many others who are too numerous to mention. I especially want to thank past and present staff as well as members of the current Board who have been extremely supportive.

“I came to work here because I thought Rancho Santa Fe was the best community in the country, and I have not changed my opinion on that. I want to thank the community for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I am going to miss you all so very much,” Green said.

The Rancho Santa Fe Board of Directors will address the issue of filling the Building Commissioner position over the coming weeks.
