The Rancho Santa Fe School District bids farewell to Superintendent Lindy Delaney this July, but not without a lasting legacy. A Lindy Delaney Legacy Fund has been named in her honor and has raised over $100,000 so far.

The Coast News Group reports:

"According to Laing Rikkers, RSF Education Foundation Endowment Advisory Chair, the Lindy Delaney Legacy Fund was launched in May 2016.

To date is has received a little more than $100,000 from a total of 35 families.

'The idea for the fund came from the Endowment Advisory Board, a nine-person subcommittee of the Rancho Santa Fe Education Foundation comprised of current and former parents and community members,' she said.

'Lindy has made such a huge impact on this school district and community during her 30 years of service and so many people wanted to honor her in some meaningful way,' Rikkers said.'Lindy is a very reluctant recipient of gifts, but she agreed to let us establish this fund in her name because ‘it helps the kids.'

For those interested in taking part in the Lindy Delaney Legacy Fund all contributions are 100 percent tax deductible, said Rikkers."
