Dolce Celebrates 10 Years

Dolce celebrates 10 years in Rancho Santa Fe and will kick off the year-long celebration with an anniversary party.

Rancho Santa Fe, CA (January 22, 2019) – It’s hard to believe that it has been 10 years since Dolce opened. Nestled in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, the restaurant has become a neighborhood favorite. To the community, Dolce is not just a restaurant, but a place where families and friends come and share stories over a glass of wine and a good meal. It is a true fixture in the community.

When coming to Dolce, newcomers and regulars are always warmly welcomed and treated like family. This cozy ambiance combined with local, rustic, wine country inspired cuisine and an extensive wine list, make Dolce a one-of-a-kind destination. As for the food, Dolce takes great pride in using only the freshest ingredients. Most of the produce is organic and much of it is sourced from local farms with sustainable practices, as Dolce strongly believes in supporting the community. All menu items are scratch-made in house by Chef Kendra Karalis. Signature dishes include the Peppers & Sausage Flatbread – layered with the savory San Marzano tomato sauce, topped with seasonal farmer’s market peppers, N’duja sausage, red onion, mozzarella, fontina and garlic. Dolce is also known for its Jidori Half Chicken – seared under a brick, served with crispy smashed fingerling potatoes, locally-farmed seasonal vegetables and topped with a sunny side up egg.

Unfortunately, founder Tony Smith unexpectedly passed away just over a year ago. Known by his friends as the “King of Hearts,” Tony truly poured his heart into Dolce. Tony’s wife, Erin Smith, was determined to continue to lead the restaurant that Tony built. With the help of an amazing managing partner, Courtney Macdonald, and the entire staff at Dolce, Erin has worked hard to continue to honor her late husband’s legacy through the restaurant he loved.

As Dolce enters its 10th year, its future is bright with Erin at the helm of this neighborhood establishment. Erin will be hosting an anniversary party, which will be the first in a year of celebrations. This free celebration is open to the public so that the Dolce team can thank their neighbors, friends, and the entire Rancho Santa Fe community for their ongoing support, as well as to toast to the future.

The anniversary party will take place at Dolce on Thursday, January 31, from 6PM to 9PM and will include hosted bites, drinks and much cheer. To RSVP, email Catering@DolceRSF.com or call (858) 832-1518. Come celebrate and share a story, great food and good wine with the Dolce family. Cheers to 10!
