The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club started in 1926 as a small group of families who wanted to advance gardening and landscaping in RSF and was later incorporated as a nonprofit California corporation in 1937.
Today, the RSF Garden Club works toward expanding its philanthropic activities for nonprofit organizations that serve the Ranch and surrounding areas.
Recently, the Club awarded $50,000 in grants to 12 local organizations with charitable horticulture goals.
A more detailed discussion of how each grant will help the organizations in the community can be found in the RSF Garden Club Newsletter.
To continue its mission, the RSF Garden Club is hosting two fundraisers in the upcoming months.
The first, the RSF Garden Fair & Market, will be held on September 10 from 10am-1pm in the RSF Association parking lot. The community is encouraged to attend this family-friendly event featuring garden and landscape vendors, kids activities, music, and food. If you’d like to be a participant and/or sponsor, contact the Garden Club at 858-756-1554 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
On October 8, the RSF Garden Club will team up with the Osuna Committee for a Farm to Table Dinner from 4pm-7pm. There will be live music, a silent auction, and a family-style dinner. All proceeds will benefit the RSF Garden Club and the Osuna Adobe Restoration Fund. Space is limited. For reservations call 858-756-1554 or email email@example.com.
The RSF Garden Club will have their next Quarterly Meeting on September 22, from 6pm-8pm at the Garden Club. It is free for members and $20 for guests. Representatives from the RSF Fire District and the RSF Association CONE Committee will discuss fire prevention tips for your property and reforestation efforts in the community.
