Summer camps in Rancho Santa Fe are winding down and that means it’s almost time to send the kids back to school. Below are some key dates for students attending the R. Roger Rowe School to be aware of.
There will be a Newcomers’ Middle School Pool Party for incoming students and parents on August 17 at a private residence in RSF. On August 19, the Newcomers’ (Grades 1-5) Pool Party will start at 2pm. Rounding off the last of the newcomers’ events is the Kindergarten Pool Party on August 22 from 2pm-4pm. For more information about these three events, please contact the school at (858)756-1141 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
On the first day of school, August 29, parents are welcome to attend the “Back to School Coffee” event at 9:10am in the courtyard to the east of the Performing Arts Center (PAC).
The school is also hosting two Meet and Greet events, if community members would like to meet newly appointed Superintendent David Jaffe, on September 8 and September 15 from 5:30-6:00pm at the PAC.
Back-to-School Night for Grades 6-8 commences after the Meet and Greet on September 8 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the PAC. After the September 15 Meet and Greet, grades K-5 will have their Back-to-School Night event from 6:15-7:15pm also located at the PAC.
Full-day kindergarten classes begin on September 19. Picture day for K-2 grades will be held all day on September 20. Grades 3-5 will take pictures on September 21.
For any students who cannot make their scheduled picture day, a make-up picture day is scheduled for October 19 in Room 203.
The R. Roger Rowe School has prepared a Back-to-School Family Guide detailing important dates, school guidelines, school logistics, and other important information for parents and students.
