Additional Parking Planned in the Village

During the September Board meeting, interim Building Commissioner Tom Farrar announced plans to add 28 parking spots in the village bringing the total number of spots to 115. Currently there are only 87 parking spots, which has been criticized as inadequate given the amount of residents who frequent the Village daily.

Farrar's plan also includes repainting 42 spots as two-hour parking. Adding these 2-hour spaces are intended to reduce the likelihood of motorists needing to resort to parking in the surrounding neighborhood.

The RSF Review reports,

"Farrar presented the plan for the angled spaces to the San Dieguito Planning Group on Sept. 8 and expects to bring it back to the RSF Association board for approval in October. The spaces will then need to be approved by the county."
